Brief: The client required a supporting technical animation for the reveal of the new ghd Speed hairdryer, presented to senior directors at a closed investor event in collaboration with agency PIXEL. The goal was to introduce the product for the first time, showcasing its new design and underlying technology on a large-format presentation screen.
The animation focused on revealing the new product design and key technologies, including controlled airflow systems, the motor, and nozzle variations, highlighting how each contributes to performance. The most technically demanding aspect was the visualisation of controlled airflow behaviour, using simulated vectors to clearly communicate direction and movement in a precise yet visually refined CGI style suitable for a high-end presentation environment.
The final assets were used in collaboration with agency PIXEL to produce the finished presentation for a closed director and investor event, where the product was first revealed. The presentation was very positively received. Additional versions were also created for marketing, educational, and web use across multiple channels.
